Remove the interior pads and hand-rinse in cold water with mild unscented soap; air-dry flat at room temperature. Never use solvents, alcohol, acetone, degreasers or petroleum products on the shell — they break down polycarbonate and EPS. Retire the helmet after any crash; EPS absorbs one major impact and does not recover. Store out of direct sun and away from sustained heat above 65°C (dashboards, parcel shelves, hot cars degrade the foam).
